FAQs

Q. Why is there a white box where the login form should be? / Why doesn't the login form show up?

 

A. This is most likely due to a misconfiguration of your internet settings.  If you are using Internet Explorer, please pull down the 'Tool' menu of your browser and select 'Internet Options'.  Next, click on the 'Security' tab and click 'Reset All Zones to Default Level'.  If this does not resolve your issue, please download IE7 from here. If this also does not work please call our office at 515-268-4000.

Q1. What is your policy, in regards to, copyright infringement notices?

A1. ICS Copyright Infringement Policy

1st Notice:  User will be notified by email and is required to discontinue the downloading of copyrighted material.


2nd Notice: User will be notified by email and phone to ensure they are aware of the situation. The user is required to discontinue the downloading of copyrighted material


3rd Notice: User account will be disabled and will receive notice after failed login. User will be required to call ICS and explain their actions and will be required to discontinue the downloading of copyrighted material.


4th Notice: User account will be disabled and will receive notice after failed login. User will be required to come to the ICS offices and speak to management to explain their actions. Users will be required to discontinue the downloading of copyrighted material.


5th Notice: Users account will be terminated.

 


 

Q2. I forgot my username or password.

A2. Click here to have your username and password e-mailed to the e-mail address you registered with.

 


 

Q3. Why must I log into my account every time I use the internet?

A3.  You will be redirected to our login screen every time there is an absence of data from your computer for a period of 15 minutes.  This system facilitates communication with your property manager, helps keep our network secure, and enables mobility throughout the ICS network.

 


 

Q4. I moved.  Will my account work at my new ICS serviced location?

Q5. I have a gaming system. How can I connect it to the internet.

A5. Depending on your location, there may be more than one option for connecting your gaming system. Please contact ICS technical support for more information on connecting your gaming system. Click here for ICS technical support contact information.

 


 

Q6. My property manger pays for my internet. Why do I have to buy an adapter?

A6. The internet service is paid for by your property manager, equipment to connect to the internet is not (i.e. computer, cables, etc).

 


 

Q7. I am able to connect to my wireless router but not the internet.

A7. Unplug the power cable from your modem (ADSL, VDSL, etc) and your router for 1 minute. After reconnecting the modem and router wait for abut 5 minutes (to allow the modem and router to reconnect). If you are still unable to connect to the internet please contact ICS technical support. Q8. When I try to login I get an error message “orphaned account”.

A8. The account you are trying to login with is no longer associated with a location we service. Please contact ICS technical support. Click here for ICS technical support contact information.

 


 

Q9. I signed up for an account but I have not received a verification e-mail.

A9. Some e-mail providers can take several hours for an e-mail to go through their virus and spam filters. If you do not receive an e-mail within 24 hours please contact ICS technical support. Click here for ICS technical support contact information.

 


 

Q10. When I try to login I get an error message “This account was not validated and has expired... ”

Q11. When there is heavy rain my internet does not work.

A11. Due to the technology used to provide internet to your location your internet feed might be experiencing ‘rain fade’.
